Glossary of Terms

Rear Derailleur:
The component of a bicycle’s drivetrain which pushes and pulls (derails) the chain across the sprockets of the cassette. It is a spring-tensioned device which relies on two pulley-wheels and a spring-driven arm to move the chain between gears when you adjust the shifter on your handlebars.
